So sorry for not updating my blog. I’m busy studying Aegisub for karaoke time lining. Ahaha actually its not important thing to do. But I just curious. I want to finish my Soft Sub Project for Butai ban Fuuma no Kojiro. Since it will be translated into English, I want to make sure everything goes fine.

I need your help.

1. Can you help me to check are my subs already correct or wrong? My Japanese skill from 10 point perfect, I think I still in point 2. So I need Ur help. I dont want to make Fuuma no Kojiro fans disappointed.

2. About Aegisub
I want to make Karaoke timeline effect for Duet song. I want to make The TEXT DIFFERENT FOR EACH SINGER.

For example:
When Tei sing, the main color will be Purple and highlight white
When Park Hyo Shin sing, the main color will be Green and highlight white
When they sing together, the main color will be Red and highlight white

I already change the color in template. But if I put Purple, ALL color will be purple. IF I dont put any color, it will come back to basic color (Red-Green)

This is my template code. Is that anything wrong?

I asking about Karaoke tutorial with aegisub few month ago and after that creating basic karaoke timing tutorial with aegisub

Today, I get requested to create video tutorial for Karaoke aegisub. When I want to create it, I found amazing thing on IDWS forum. Some one already create the tutorial for us. YAY!

Even this is using Indonesian language, you can see the movement. I think his explanation is brilliant. If I have time, I will create the English version of his tutorial. ^^ You can learn how to create templater also create the effect

Ah delaying for so many times with my promises at my post Aegisub karaoke timing tutorial for beginner now I will give you tutorial how to creating simple karaoke effect use aegisubs

1. Make sure you have “Apply Karaoke Effect” At you automation menu.

2. Open your ASS file with the video (video is optional but I prefer to use it)

3. Click very first subtitle line in the file.

4. Right click on it and choose Insert Lines?Before Current to get a new line before it. This is your karaoke template line. I like to put in on first line because it easy to see

5. Click the Comment check box for the new line. It should change colour in the subtitle grid. The template will not get any effect but just as template.

6. Find the Effect field, it’s to the right of the Style and Actor fields. Put the text “template line“ into it. (Without the quotes!) Press the Enter key on your keyboard to save the Effect field.

7. Enter your effect code at template line

8. Done

If you want to get grow/shrink karaoke effect , you can use this code

I still looking for my ASS file. If I can get it among my Back Up DVD, I will explain more advance karaoke tutorial (how to use more than 1 karaoke effect template in one video).

I gets several request to write “How to change ASS file into SRT”

You can use aegissub to do this (save subtitle as). But, it will remove all placement code at ASS file. The safest way is RENAME IT!

For you who still confuse how to rename it, can read this tutorial

1. Open Windows explorer

2. Tools->folder option

3. make sure this menu is UNCHECK

4. Select file ASS that you want to remove and press F2 (or right click and choose rename)

5. Change ASS into SRT

6. Done
