Photoshop Tutorial Create X-FILES FONT
I got BIG TROUBLE with my international connection. I cant open my
own blog nor visiting other blog ( I can post but to make this post
I made aropund 4 hours to load my osting page). I dont know when will my
connection fixed. But mean while, I cant visit yoursite so often like
used to be. Hope you can understand. If I have time when I’m teaching,
I’ll blogwalking.
Now I give you how to make X FILES glowing font
using channel. Actually, without channel U also able to do this. but for
me, its easiest way to understand what is channel selection at Adobe
Photoshop ^^
If you have any question, pls feel free to ask
1. Open
Adobe Photoshop and press D (Restore foreground and background into black and white) after that
press X (Change white into foreground).
2. Press ctrl+N and make file 300px x 300px and set background content with background color
3. Use VERDANA font size 180px, BOLD and type “X” like this
4. Press Ctrl+E to merge both layer
5. Now move to channels tab
6. Click the blue channel and drag into new channel icon for duplicate it
7. Double click on the Blue Copy text and rename it into “original”
8. Duplicate the original and name it “white”
9. Press and hold ctrl button and use Ur mouse to click the white channel to select the X font
10. choose Select->Modify->Expand and fill it with 2 px
11. Press Sift+f5 (fill) and use White
12. Ctrl+D (Deselect) and choose Filter-> Blur ->Gausian Blur and use 2px only
13. Copy again channel WHITE and rename it with YELLOW
14. Press and hold ctrl button and use Ur mouse to click the YELLOW channel to select the X font
15. Choose Select->Modify->Expand and fill it with 3 px
16. Press Sift+f5 (fill) and use White
17. Ctrl+D (Deselect) and choose Filter-> Blur ->Gausian Blur and use 3px. Dont U feel we only change the size? Yes. Just need one more repetation
18. Copy again channel YELLOW and rename it with GREEN
19. Choose Select->Modify->Expand and fill it with 6 px
20. Press Sift+f5 (fill) and use White
21. Ctrl+D (Deselect) and choose Filter-> Blur ->Gausian Blur and use 10px. And U will get this result
22. Too difficult? Not yet ^^ Just a litlle bit. Ganbatte yo! Click the RGB channels
23. And go back to LAYER tab
24. Now we want to coloring it ^^. Change foreground color with #0DFA66 and Background with #F1FA03
25. And then click W(magic wand). Right click on Ur “X” font and choose load selection
26. Choose GREEN channel
27. Press Sift+F5 (fill) and use FOREGROUND color. After that Ctrl+D to deselect
28. Do from step 25 but this time choose YELLOW channels at load selection and BACKGROUND when U want to fill.
29. Repeat again and this time choose WHITE channels at load selection and WHITE when U want to fill.
30. Ouch… too bright..!! Dont worry, last…. Repeat again and this time choose ORIGINAL channels at load selection and BLACK when U want to fill. AND DONE ^^ Weheheh U also able to use this method for HULK font. If U choose another color, U able to make Ur own glowing font. Good Luck!
